Needless to say, but summer is the marquee season to enjoy life. The vibrant, bright sunshine and the warming summer breeze make it perfect for a fun day out. Whether you are a fitness freak or a sports lover, summer is the best season to go out for jogging or for playing football. It is also the perfect time to hit the beach and brave the waves. Therefore, it is wise to use the opportunity to relish and relive the memories of our childhood by crafting a well-designed sandcastle.

I had been thrilled when I got a call from one of my friends from college. A group of our college friends was having a mini-reunion dinner a week later, and I was invited. I had accepted the invitation in a heartbeat. It had been around five years since most of us had met one another, and it was going to be incredible getting to see them all again.

He had forgotten. He had forgotten our third wedding anniversary. I only knew that because he talked to his assistant about booking a direct flight from New York to Miami. The flight was on the 17th of October, which was four days before our anniversary. Meanwhile, the return ticket is on the 26th. When he got off the phone call, he told that he had to leave for an extremely important deal to sign with some Russian delegates.

A college friend of mine was getting married, and I had been asked to stand in as one of the bridesmaids. I had gladly accepted the role since we were best friends during our college years. The wedding was being held in September. I had flown in for the designation wedding in Paris, France, and helped out with the wedding plans as much as I could by giving suggestions about colour schemes, tablecloth patterns, ideas about flower arrangements, and so on.

The global pandemic could not have had a worse timing when it started spreading at a breakneck pace last year. It caused the entire world to come to a standstill, ruining plans like outings, vacations, birthday parties, and weddings. One such important event that had to be postponed due to the widespread disease was my wedding. Yes, I am still very disgruntled about that.

When my twins mentioned they had their school play coming up; I was pretty excited for them. They had been rehearsing their lines every spare second they got and had them memorised to a T. My daughter mentioned that she needed to get some new shoes to go with the school's outfit for the play. That’s what led us to take a trip to the mall. During that very trip, my eyes landed on the beautiful perfume bottle of Nina by Nina Ricci. It was sitting on a display shelf of the shop, and I just had to get that beauty without a second thought.
